Chinese company Xiomi Mi Home Stores launched in Bengaluru, India as the first offline retailing store. The store was announced on Thursday. It will be open for public on 20th of May. The Managing Director of Xiomi, Manu Kumar Jain has planned to expand Mi Home Stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad in the coming months. The store will expand all over India with over 100 stores in about two years.
Managing Director/ Vice President of Xiomi company Manu Kumar Jain said:
When we were launched in India, we were online only and this helped a lot to reduce the layers between us and the customers. We are making a big commitment, Mi Home store is going be in stock of all the products that we have.
In case there is something that is not in stock, we will provide the customers with f-code right that will allow the customer to buy the product on Mi.com even if it says out of stock.
We will give disproportionate focus to Mi Homes to maintain the stock availability, irrespective of our production capability.
Xiomi Mi Home Stores in India:
Presently, the stores will be run by partners. Since Xiomi is yet to receive the license to operate stores as single brand retail in India.
Xiomi Mi Home Stores are Xiomi’s exclusive offline retail stores which would allow customers to purchase Xiomi’s latest products under one roof.
The retailing stores feature Xiomi’s smartphones, power banks, headphones, fitness bands, air purifiers, and other Xiomi’s products launched in India.
With the launch of Xiomi Mi Home stores in India, Jain promises that Xiomi is able to bring down the costs and serve products at the same price to the customers. So that it does not have to create separate products for offline retail stores launched.
Xiomi Mi Home Stores in China:
Xiomi has around more than 70 Mi Home stores in China. These stores have claimed to have over 500,000 walk-ins in the stores during Mi Fan Festival. The total sales crossed Rs. 75 crores during this festival. Jain claims that it will be a better experience for Mi Home Stores in India.
