Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited ( BSNL ) has released a noticed that implies Mobile number deactivation of customer who will not link their mobile number with Aadhaar numbers.
As per Supreme Court order and guidelines of TRAI, All the existing customers prepaid and postpaid customers must link their Aadhaar Card with their Phone number through E-KYC verification by Feb 2018.
If someone fails to do it then their numbers will be deactivated, said by Odisha Circle Chief General Manager Satyanayak Naik.
According to BSNL only 3% of its 56 lakh existing mobile users has successfully linked their Aadhaar. Whereas, Last week BSNL broadband had struck by Malware attack which where BSNL had asked its customers to change their modem password ASAP. Now this news is to give massive push to Aadhaar verification !

In February, the Supreme Court had ordered the center government to re-verify the numbers of all mobile numbers in the whole country. This is a result of petition field by Lokiti Foundation.
Although government is making Aadhaar validation mandatory but still their are some regions where people living in other states are not able to verify their sim number with their Aadhaar. According to shop retailer it might talk some time to start this facility.
